JOB SHADOW EXPERIENCE
AT THE LOUISVILLE ZOO
The
Louisville Zoo’s job shadow experience is offered to high school
students who need to complete an assignment required by his/her
school and 8th grade students needing to fulfill a Practical Living
Core Content (PL -08-4.1.5) assignment.
Before
being considered for the program, the following things need to be
sent to Louisville Zoo Job Shadow, % Diane Moon, PO Box 37250,
Louisville, KY 40233:
Requests
must be made a month in advance.
These
forms are available below.
It is
important to be explicit about the purpose of the assignment.
Participants will be notified what arrangements have been made by
phone or email.
The
program takes place between 8 a.m. and noon. Individuals need to
report to the Receptionist in the Administration building next to
the ticket window.
Appropriate attire is important since students will be spending
quite a bit of time outdoors. The program will take place rain or
shine. Tennis shoes or boots must be worn. Purses and backpacks
should be left behind.
